Primate Celebrates Divine Liturgy at St. Andrew, Cupertino

While on a pastoral visit to Northern California, on February 12, Diocese the Primate celebrated the Divine Liturgy at St. Andrew Armenian Church in Cupertino. At the conclusion of the service the Primate read aloud the Pontifical Encyclical with which His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, bestowed St. Nerses the Graceful medals upon St. Andrew parishioners Dr. Peter Abaci and Mr. Noubar Manoukian.
“The most important mission of the Church is to lead the faithful towards God. The more we are influenced by the presence of the All Merciful God, the more we create and lead creative lives. Each one of us plays a vital role in the life of the Church as we partake in spreading the light of the Gospel of Christ, our Lord. In other words, let our lives become the living and breathing Gospel and let the light of Christ radiate throughout our communities” was the Primate’s message in his homily.
Following the service, the faithful were treated to a reception at the Amirian Hall.
