Western Diocese

On September 1, 2010 at 7:00 p.m., the Primate consecrated the icons of the St. Leon Cathedral. He was assisted by the Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, Vicar General, and Rev. Frs. Khajag Shahbazyan and Avedis Abovian.

The icons were kindly donated by Mr. and Mrs. Gevork and Hasmik Petrosian, Mr. and Mrs. Mike and Sonia Avedissian, Mr. Gagik Kazarian, Mr. and Mrs. Mihran and Mary Papazian, Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Leyla Shakaryan (in memory of their parents Hrant and Annik Shakaryan), Mr. Zaven Avsharian, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Lusine Papazian and Mr. and Mrs. Yervant Donikian.

The Primate delivered his spiritual message, expressed his gratitude to the generous donors and blessed them. A reception followed the ceremony.
