On November 24, in observance of Thanksgiving Day, the Primate, joined by the Very Rev. Fr. Baret Dz. V. Yeretzian, Rev. Archpriest Frs. Arshag Khatchadourian, Hovsep Hagopian and Nareg Matarian attended Ararat Home in Mission Hills. The clergymen had prepared a special program for the elderly where they read the Gospels and sang hymns.
The Primate expressed in his message that Thanksgiving Day would have no meaning without a visit with the elderly of the community. The Primate expressed his gratitude to the staff of Ararat Home for their caring and kind nature to the elderly. In addition, he wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and explained that we should truly be thankful for God's blessings bestowed upon us.
At the conclusion, the members of the clergy sang Armenian songs thus lifting everyone's spirits. The director of Ararat Home and the staff members expressed their appreciation to the Primate and the clergy members for their special attention.
