Nearly 70 students and staff members from the AGBU School in Canoga Park visited the Western Diocese for lunch.

On March 14, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian presided over the Lenten Prayer service at the Western Diocese.

The Narek Cultural Foundation event was held on March 6, 2008, at the headquarters of the foundation. The Vicar General of the Western Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian represented the Primate at this event. The organization provides medical care for disabled children in Armenia.

The Vicar General of the Western Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. Yardemian, presided over the Mother Cathedral Building Committee meeting on Saturday, March 8, 2008. The construction budget and the details of the construction contract were discussed during the meeting.

For several years, the Western Diocese in collaboration with the Diocese of Ararat have provided aid to numerous local orphans in Armenia.

On March 2, 2008, the Armenian Society of Los Angeles held its annual concert at the Alex Theater in Glendale, California.

On March 3, 2008, Mr. Berj Terzeian, Chair of Egyptian AGBU, met with His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian at the Western Diocese.

The Western Diocese Endowment Fund at its February 16, 2008 meeting authorized the distribution of $212,784 to its beneficiaries.

In the evening of March 4, 2008, a prayer vigil for peace in Armenia was held at the Western Diocese. The Vicar General of the Western Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Dajad Dz. V. On February 26, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian paid a pastoral visit to the St. James Armenian Church in Sacramento, California.

In the evening of February 27, 2008, the church service for the Median Day of Lent was held at the Western Diocese.

On February 28, 2008, on the occasion of the Women Saints’ Day, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian paid a pastoral visit to Sts.

A leap-year international conference on the Armenian communities of the Northeastern Mediterranean took place on the weekend of February 29-March 1, 2008.

The History of humanity and the world has not yet registered a magnanimous event which equals to the glorious Resurrection of Christ our Lord.
