On October 13, 2009 St. John Armenian Church of San Francisco Dn. Berj Torosian passed away. St. John Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Diran Avagian and St. Andrew Armenian Church of Santa Clara Valley Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Datev Harutyunian jointly held the Church Service.

On this sad occasion, the Primate expressed his heartfelt condolences to Dn. Berj Torosian's wife, Nevart Torosian . In his letter, the Primate acknowledged and appreciated the valuable and devout service of the late Dn. Torosian.

Dn. Berj Torosian will be remembered for his caring nature and his commendable service to the Armenian Church.

Dn. Berj Torosian would have been the recipient of the Diocesan Hye Spirit medal on January 3, 2010. The medal will be awarded to his surviving wife, Nevart Torosian.

May the Almighty God accept the soul of Berj Torosian in His Heavenly Kingdom and may the Holy Spirit comfort his wife.
