The Cathedral is the Testimony of Our Faith

The Western Diocese has embarked on a marvelous project. With the rising of the glorious Diocesan Cathedral, we are indeed witnessing one of the greatest achievements in the history of the Western Diocese. The completion date is set for June 2010.

The Diocesan Cathedral will be consecrated by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians on Saturday, September 11, 2010. Numerous high ranking clergy, government officials and guests will also be present to witness the historic event.

The Church is the protector of the Christian Faith. The Diocesan Cathedral symbolizes the Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian people.

The Cathedral is an expression of "life" and is a testimony of our Faith. Her faithful shall enter through her doors to pray and worship the Almighty God. Our hearts shall exclaim, "For zeal for your house has consumed me" (Psalm 69:9) and we shall rejoice and say, "Let us go to the house of the Lord...to which all go up, to give thanks to the name of the Lord" (Psalm 122: 1,4).

Let us remain true to our prayers and kind deeds and wait for the day to be enlightened with the consecration and the official opening of the Diocesan Cathedral.
