Western Diocese

As we have previously reported, the Primate has been elected as the Chairman of the Los Angeles Council of Religious Leaders.

On June 24, 2010, Right Rev. Alexei Smith, Director of the ecumenical and inter-religious affairs of the Archdiocese of the Catholic Church of Los Angeles, visited the Headquarters of the Western Diocese. He met with the Primate and the Vicar General.

The Right Rev. Alexei Smith expressed the sincere wishes of His Eminence Cardinal Roger Mahony, Archbishop of Los Angeles, to the Primate and the Vicar General. The Primate offered to hold an inter-ecumenical meeting inside the Cathedral. The Right Reverend welcomed the idea and would introduce it to the Cardinal. He congratulated the Primate on the occasion of the completion of the Cathedral.
