Western Diocese Bids Farewell to Jack Jandegian

We were profoundly saddened to hear the passing of Jack Jandegian, a devout member of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Pasadena.
Jack Jandegian was born in Adana, Turkey. After eighteen months of hardship Jack arrived in the United States through Ellis Island with his parents Eleanor and Sarkis on June 10, 2010. From 1942 - 1946, he proudly served his country in the Army. In 1943, he married Mary Mananian at St. Mary's Armenian Church in Yettem, California. They were blessed with daughters Elise, Luanne, Lorie and Kristine. Jack Jandegian was the fist Chairman of the Construction Committee of St. Gregory the Illuminator in Pasadena.
Jack was also a member of the Knights of Vartan, Ghevont Lodge in Pasadena. Jack was an instrumental force in the establishment of the Alfred and Marguerite Hovsepian Armenian School in Pasadena.
The church service was performed on February 12, 2010, by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, His Eminence Archbishop Vatche Hovsepian, Very Rev. Fr. Baret Dz. V. Yeretzian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Sarkis Petoyan, Parish Priest of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Dr. Zaven Arzoumanian, Rev. Archpriest Fr. Moushegh Tashjian and Rev. Fr. Vazken Movsesian.
