Western Diocese Focuses on Strengthening North Hollywood Parish

As reported one year ago, the Armenian Church of North Hollywood was formed under the auspices of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. We are glad to inform our faithful community – especially those living in North Hollywood – that the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church in the area is well established and functioning. Fr. Avedis Abovian has been appointed as Parish Priest of the Armenian Church of North Hollywood by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. By the same decree of the Primate, Priesthood-Candidate Dn. Grigor Avagyan has been appointed North Hollywood Parish-Priest Assistant.The formation of the North Hollywood Parish would not have been possible without the fantastic and enthusiastic members of the North Hollywood Parish Formation Committee. Thanks to the committee the Western Diocese has been able to tend to the spiritual needs of our faithful in North Hollywood. The Office of the Western Diocese will provide more details about the North Hollywood Parish to our faithful in the area in the very near future.
