Western Diocese Will Participate in “Ascending Voice II”

On March 3, 2010, the Primate welcomed Mr. Darryl Tippens, Provost of Pepperdine University and Mr. Levon Gougasian, Professor at Pepperdine University to the Western Diocese.
Pepperdine University in Malibu, California will host an International Symposium of Sacred Music entitled "Ascending Voice II" on May 12-15, 2010.
During the meeting, the representatives requested the participation of the Western Diocese from the Primate. In turn, the Primate gladly accepted the invitation. It was decided that on May 13, 2010, clergy and Deacons from the Western Diocese will represent the Armenian Apostolic Church with evening worship and sacred music.
The "Ascending Voice II" symposium is devoted exclusively to A Cappella music in Christian worship.
