Western Diocese

On May 4, 2008, His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon on the joyous occasion of Second Palm Sunday at St. Peter Armenian Church – Youth Center, Glendale. The Primate ordained several gifted young men from the vibrant St. Peter Parish of Glendale to the ranks of Deaconate, Stole-Bearer and Acolyte during the Second Palm Sunday church service:

·Varoujan Movsesian, who is the son of Fr. Vazken Movsesian, Pastor of St. Peter Armenian Church – Youth Center, Glendale, and Yeretsgin Susan, along with Ludwig Barska were ordained to the rank of Deaconate of the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church.

·         Vatche Bahudian and Paul Karapetian were ordained to the rank of Stole-Bearers of the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church.

·         Vartan Shatarevyan, Leo Ananian and Yeprem Chavdarian were ordained as Forth-Level Acolytes of the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church.

A reception was held following the church service at the St. Peter Armenian Church Talin Mehrabian Hall.
