With the 2010 Western Diocese Summer Camp program close to beginning, Archbishop Hovnan Derderian has announced the dates of his official visits. Hovnan Surpazan will be enjoying the natural and spiritual atmosphere of Camp Hye Sierra and bonding with our beloved campers on the following dates:

First Week - July 19
Second Week - July 26
Third Week - August 2
Forth Week - August 9

It is also with spiritual joy that the Diocese announces that on July 26 the Primate will also conduct the blessing of a khatchkar or cross-stone which will be prominently placed  at the Flagpole platform. This khatchkar was generously donated by St. James Armenian Church of Los Angeles.

The primate will also be dedicating several commemorative plaques that day.The Primate is also making plans to visit the camp on additional occasions, other than the official dates announced above, as his schedule allows. This will give him even more opportunities to cultivate closer relationships with the youth and observe the camp program.
