On June 28, 2009, at the request of the Diocesan Primate, a special requiem service was held in memory of His Holiness Karekin I of blessed memory. On this occasion Archpriest Fr. Zaven Arzoumanian offered the sermon, in which is reflected on personal experiances he had shared with the revered church father, as well as his impact on the history of the Armenian Church.
