Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLS-LA) created the Dickran Tevrizian (DT) Fellowship Program to honor Judge Dickran Tevrizian's long standing commitment to the Armenian community. Judge Tevrizian has dedicated his career to public service serving on the state and federal bench for over 30 years.

Since 1965, Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLS-LA) has provided free legal services to low-income residents. They serve all of Los Angeles County, including the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, the neighboring communities in the Pomona, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys, and the cities of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena.

The Dickran Tevrizian (DT) Fellowship Program is the first and only legal fellowship dedicated to serving the needs of low-income, Armenian-American community. The fellowship honors Judge Dickran Tevrizian's life long commitment to the Armenian community and his over 30 years of service on the state and federal bench.

On February 25, 2010, the San Gabriel Country Club was the venue for the DT Fellowship Inaugural Reception of the first ever fellow, Alina Azizian, Esq. The DT Fellow will help build organizational infrastructure by providing expert advice and assistance in small businesses development, accessing healthcare, strengthening community capacity and to help bring fair resolutions to the civil legal needs of low-income Armenian Americans in Los Angeles County.
