Senior Clergyman from Jerusalem Visits the Diocese

On June 4, 2009, the Very Rev. Fr. Samuel Dz. V. Aghoyan, Senior Clergyman from the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, visited the Diocesan Headquarters in Burbank, California, and met with His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian also briefly informed the Senior Clergyman from Jerusalem of the details of the construction project of the Cathedral, ordination of new priests in the Diocese, establishment of new parishes and mission parishes throughout the Diocese as well as several other issues pertaining to the life of the Church in the Western Diocese. A number of Diocesan Clergy and Staff also greeted the visiting Clergyman from Jerusalem.

Upon the invitation of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese, the Very Rev. Fr. Samuel Dz. V. Aghoyan celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered the sermon at St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Church in Pasadena, on June 28, 2009. The Very Rev. Fr. Samuel Dz. V. Aghoyan will be also celebrating the Divine Liturgy and delivering the sermon at the following two locations on the next two Sundays:

  • St. Peter Armenian Church in Van Nuys, on July 12, 2009. The Morning Service will begin at 8:45 AM, followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM,
  • St. James Armenian Church in Los Angeles, on July 19, 2009. The Morning Service will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM.
