WD BOOK EVENT: “ECHOES OF FAITH” BY FR. ARSHEN AIVAZIAN

The Western Diocese is holding a book event for Fr. Arshen Aivazian’s latest book: “Echoes of Faith” – published in separate English and Armenian editions – on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, starting at 7:30 PM, in the Nazareth and Sima Kalaydjian Hall of the Arshag and Eleanor Dickranian Diocesan Complex, in Burbank, California.

According to Fr. Thomas Hopko, Dean Emeritus of St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary, included on the cover of the book: “In Echoes of Faith, Fr. Arshen Aivazian provides us with superb translations of sermons, essays and poems of noted leaders of the Armenian Orthodox Church of the first half of the last century. Beside the spiritual content of the selected pieces that are crafted in a beautiful, dignified and noble manner, the chosen writings allow rare access to literary works unknown outside the cultural world of Armenian Christianity.”

Fr. Arshen Aivazian is the Parish Priest of St. Paul Armenian Church of Fresno.

This wonderful book is a fascinating collection of reflections by a select group of Armenian clergy from the early 20th Century. The book event will be conducted in both Armenian and English. Admission is free for the public.
