Western Diocese

We gladly inform the faithful of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America that the necessary permits for the construction of the Mother Cathedral have been obtained from the local authorities and the beginning of the construction will be celebrated officially, on May 3, 2008, at 11:30 a.m.

Upon the conclusion of the 81^st Diocesan Assembly during April 30^th and May 3^rd we will gather to celebrate the joyous beginning of the construction of the Mother Cathedral. His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate, accompanied by clergy from the Western Diocese, will preside over the thanksgiving ceremony and the following celebration for the beginning of the construction of the Mother Cathedral.
